Liljeholmen has several important cycling routes that connect with Södermalm, Årsta and Gröndal, but expansion and improvements are ongoing.
Important cycling paths and projects include Liljeholmsbron, a central connection to Södermalm that sees heavy traffic, where future widening of the cycling lanes is also planned as part of upcoming renovations.
The city has worked on safer passages, including new solutions and crossings at Södertäljevägen to make cycling easier.
Popular recreational routes like the Årstabron – Liljeholmsbron loop offer easy, nature-friendly rides of approximately 6.6 km.
There are planned regional routes extending southward toward Botkyrka.
