On Östermalm in Stockholm, cycle paths are continuously being built and improved to make cycling safer and easier.

New and important cycle lanes are located on Värtavägen, and a new bidirectional cycle path has been built between Karlaplan and Tegeluddsvägen to separate pedestrians and cyclists.

An important bidirectional cycle path runs from Valhallavägen to Birger Jarlsgatan.
